Before KAUST, I was Assistant Professor at Assiut University, Egypt and Senior Researcher at Huawei Research, Hong Kong. Formerly, I was PhD student of Computer Science at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
My research interests covers a range of topics from distributed machine learning, cloud/data center networks and systems, wireless networks, congestion control and traffic engineering. My current projects are focused on these areas: design and implementation of communication protocols well-suited for data center networks as well as exploring their congestion and traffic engineering aspects.
